It’s not when you get there, it’s how you get there!

The idea started with one seemingly innocent adventure ride. As the discussion continued the adventure started to take shape, developing as the group threw in ideas of their own about what they would like to see and do in 2019 and so a plan was hatched for part1 - ‘Cinco Hombres’ to ride their motorcycles from Tijuana to the Artic Circle and finally ending in Anchorage, Alaska.

What happened on the way, who I met, all that was incidental. I had not quite realized that the interruptions were the journey.
— Ted Simon, Jupiters Travels: Four Years Around the World on a Triumph

The five of us have known each other for some time. The newest of the group, Andrew, met the group after an Adventure Training course hosted by RawHyde Adventures, in Castaic, California.

Klaus

Klaus’ motorcycle experience dates back to 1976 (age 16) when he used to cruise around his hometown of Koblenz, Germany on a souped up Zündapp Moped. His next bike was quite a step up, when he hit the Autobahn riding a 1982 Suzuki Katana GS650G. Now with the addition of his BMW 1200 GSA you can find him traveling off-road making new friends and finding roads less traveled.
