(1)Tijuana to South Tahoe

August 2019 - For this Trip, the Team has an outline plan for the Alaska Adventure commencing in Tijuana, Mexico and heading up the U.S. coast through Canada and into Alaska. These segments are mapped out here (thanks to Rever and Butler Motocycle Maps helping us find the best roads), but the route is open to change based on items like; weather, beer, temperature, newly discovered dirt roads, and local input during the trip!

(2)South Tahoe to Portland)

Departing from Tahoe we will edge around the lake and then meet up with the 5th member of the team (Jeff) in Portland. The 5 of us will have time to taste some of the local brews and perhaps a quick visit to the Bunk Bar Wonder before leaving the next day for the ride up to Whistler and the beginning of the Canada segments.

(3)Portland to Whistler

This ride segment is going to be tremendous hitting multiple Rever recommended roads on the way up to Whistler - of course we will be sending a note to Rever with updates if we find any additional great tracks not listed on their app.

(4)Whistler to Prince George

Further into British Columbia, we are going to pass by 100 Mile House, the town of Wells and finally Prince George. We will be staying in a combination of hotels and camp sites as we ride North enjoying the incredible roads and vistas.

(5)Prince George to Hyder

The team has decided to take a brief detour and head across the Alaska Border at Stewart for a brief glimpse of Alaska to visit the town of Hyder to see the famed Bears in the area, before heading back to BC and heading North to Watsons Lake.

(6)Hyder to Watsons Lake

In Watson Lake we will make as point to visit the Sign Post Forest and plan to stay at the Air Force Lodge. This is a personal highlight me for as I am from a family that lived the Air Force life for much of my childhood (Mark)

(7)Watsons Lake to Skagway

A quick ride into Skagway , this segment should be a little shorter than most of the other planned segments ending at the historic town of Skagway and a side visit to the Red Onion Saloon to order a "Reindeer Fart"

(8)Skagway to Beaver Creek

The journey to Skagway and the visit to the town is high on the list, followed by a short ferry ride to Haines and ride up to a camp site in Beaver Creek.

(9)Beaver Creek to Fairbanks

I am interested to see if the Raven Hotel Restaurant at Haines Junction is open for lunch in addition to stopping at Delta Meat & Sausage Co. before riding into Fairbanks.

(10)Fairbanks to Wiseman

We plan to Ride upto Fairbanks for a tire change, hopefully visit friends, and enjoy as few local ales before heading North on AK-2 and then hitting the Dalton Highway.

(11)Wiseman to Prudhoe Bay

This part of the Adventure should be incredible seeing the Yukon River Camps Bridge, the Arctic Circle sign, Gobblers Knob, the Summit at Antigun Pass, experiencing the “Dalton” and finally arriving in Prudhoe Bay with the hope of dipping our toes in the Arctic Ocean before turning around and retracing our path South.

(12)Prudhoe Bay to Wiseman

We will retrace our path back down the Dalton to Wiseman and stay with a couple that run a couple of Cabins in Wiseman.

(13)Wiseman to Chena Hot Springs

We plan to head out to Chena Hot Springs Resort before heading to the Denali State Park area.

(14) Chena Hot Springs to Denali

Taking the “Long Way Round” we will ride to Denali to see the park area and spend some time seeing the Park.

(15)Denali Area Rides

We are still looking at options in the Denali area and will update as these plans take shape.
